Subject:eTopps Baseball Wild Card Rewards for Postseason Games

Several eTopps users have inquired as to whether Wild Card Rewards for 2010 eTopps Baseball cards will be awarded for statistical feats accomplished in postseason MLB games.

To clarify, Wild Card Rewards for individual-game statistical accomplishments are in fact eligible for postseason games, and as a result, users with 2010 eTopps Baseball cards of players who have achieved these stats in their ports as of 11:59AM on the calendar day following the start of the game in which the statistic was achieved will be awarded the Wild Card Reward Points spelled out in the 2010 eTopps Baseball rules.

As of 10/8/10, two players have already achieved Wild Card Reward targets in the 2010 MLB postseason: Roy Halladay for his no-hitter of 10/6, and Tim Lincecum for his 14-strikeout performance of 10/7.

Be sure to follow the MLB postseason to see if any additional players meet the Wild Card Reward targets!

A Celebration of Baseball Card History Returns!

The eTopps T-206 Tribute has been wildly embraced across the spectrum of collectors, and eTopps is now proud to expand this special tribute to the most famous baseball cards of all time even further, with the continuation of the eTopps T-206 Set! This special limited collection will highlight all-time baseball greats in the classic T-206 "Base Ball Series" trading card design of 1909!

The entire set will be beautifully designed and delivered via the classic Topps T-206 brand (even staying true to the original T-206 size and backs), but brought to life on stunning eTopps technology. This series will showcase the greatest baseball players of the 20th Century, such as Roger Maris and Carl Yastrzemski, as well as players from the time of the original T-206 series, including Christy Mathewson and Walter Johnson!

We will only offer each card in very limited numbers. These cards will be sequentially numbered and individually encased!

How to order:

The first eTopps T-206 cards from this group will be available via online offering at 1:00PM on Monday, August 23, 2010. In the weeks that follow, additional eTopps T-206 Tribute cards will be offered, leading up to the start of the 2010 eTopps Football season. Just like all eTopps cards, each card will be individually encased*.

*While the eTopps T-206 cards differ in size from regular eTopps cards, they will continue to be encased in our standard sized eTopps tamper-evident, plastic case with eTopps sticker. The cards will be placed into a fitted frame and then fixed inside of the case.

Subject:Team Card Offering of 1/4/10 (Jets & Ravens) to end Early, 1/8/10, 1 PM ET

eTopps will be featuring an NFL Playoff Weekend Jackpot on 1/9/10 and 1/10/10, which will involve NFL team cards. In order to be able to include all 2009 eTopps NFL team cards in this Weekend Jackpot, eTopps will need to end the offering of the week of 1/4 early, so as to get all cards into users'ports in time for the playoff games.

The eTopps offering which began on 1/4/10, which included NFL team cards for the New York Jets and the Baltimore Ravens, will end on Friday, 1/8/10, at 1:00 PM (ET), rather than its originally scheduled end date of 1/11/10, at 3:00 AM (ET). This will enable us to allocate cards on the afternoon of 1/8, so that they will arrive in users' online portfolios in time for the playoff games of the NFL Wild Card weekend.

Further details of the NFL Playoff Weekend Jackpot Rewards will be posted on eTopps.com on Friday, January 9, 2010.

To be eligible for Wild Card Reward points, a 2009 eTopps Baseball card of a player who led his respective league in a defined statistic at the conclusion of the MLB regular season (i.e. AL Stolen Base Leader) or is the winner of a specific league award (i.e. NL MVP), must have been in an eTopps user's online portfolio as of 2:59 AM on October 5, 2009. Wild Card Reward points will be awarded following the conclusion of the 2009 World Series.

It has been brought to our attention that the wrong date was shown in the e-mail which alerted users with a 2009 Albert Pujols eTopps card in their online portfolio that they were due to receive 5 Wild Card Reward Points for reaching 30 Home Runs by the All-Star Break.

The e-mail erroneously stated that users with a 2009 Albert Pujols eTopps card in their online portfolio as of 12:00AM on July 15 would receive 5 Wild Card Reward points. The correct time and date when this card needed to be in port should have been 2:59AM on July 13, as advertised in the 2009 eTopps Baseball announcement.

We are currently in the process of determining which users have not received the points which they were due. Those users who are aware that they may not have received the proper Wild Card Reward points for their 2009 Albert Pujols card(s) are invited to e-mail us at support@etopps.com . Additionally, Roy Halladay's 14-strikeout performance made his 2009 card eligible for a 2009 eTopps Baseball Wild Card Reward, as he exceeded the Wild Card statistic of 13 strikeouts in one game.

Therefore, all users with a 2009 eTopps Baseball Roy Halladay card in their online portfolio as of 11:59 AM (ET) today (June 3) will receive an additional 15 Bonus Reward points (in addition to the 5 points received for the Daily Jackpot), for a total of 20 points!

The rules for the eTopps Baseball Wild Card Rewards have been updated, to clarify when qualifying 2009 eTopps Baseball cards must be in user's online portfolio in order to be eligible to receive points.

To summarize:

For full-season statistics (i.e. AL Stolen Base Leader) or awards (i.e. AL MVP), qualifying 2009 eTopps player cards must be in user's online portfolio as of 2:59 AM EDT on 10/5/09 to be eligible for Wild Card Rewards.

For All-Star break statistics (i.e. any player that has 30 HRs by All-Star break), qualifying 2009 eTopps player cards must be in user's online portfolio as of 2:59 AM EDT on 7/13/09 to be eligible for Wild Card Rewards.

For single-game accomplishments (i.e. any player that hits for the cycle), qualifying 2009 eTopps player cards must be in user's online portfolio as of 11:59 AM EDT on the next calendar day following the statistical accomplishment to be eligible for Wild Card Rewards. Statistics from suspended games will not be considered eligible for Wild Card Rewards until the game has been completed, as determined by MLB.

A few notes about two of the IPOs which will be beginning at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 2:

The Barack Obama presidential card is a stand-alone offering, and is not considered part of the 2008-09 eTopps Basketball set. This card will be numbered 44P, to commemorate Barack Obama's innauguration as the 44th President of the United States.

The Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl Event card will be offered for IPO for only three days. The IPO will close at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 5.

We recently released Performance Bonus Rewards for this past eTopps baseball season. In total 11 players met their goals.

We are aware that Performance Bonus Rewards Points for the Allen & Ginter Presidential Candidate cards have yet to be distributed. We are currently working on this and hope to issue the points next week. Please note that in order to receive these points eTopps users who owned the Obama Card or the McCain card in their portfolio will receive 2 bonus reward points per winning card in-port. The Obama card must have been in-port at midnight (12AM, EST) on August 28th and the McCain card must have been in-port at midnight (12AM, EST) September 4th.

We are also working on Rewards Points for season purchases for 2008 eTopps Baseball. As always, you will receive points at a rate of one (1) point per every $25 spent on eTopps cards purchases throughout the season. Points will be distributed to eligible eTopps accounts shortly.

Finally we continue to work on our partnership with CardTarget. We underestimated the work involved, but we are still pushing this project forward and hope to implement in November.

Please be aware that eTopps Allen & Ginter Yankee Satdium Tribute sets were printed on schedule but after reviewing the cards in person, we felt the quantity was not up to eTopps standards and therefore made the decision to re-print the cards. Subject:Update: eBay Listing Issue

We are aware that many eTopps users have been experiencing issues when trying to list cards on eBay. eBay has added new requirements that do not currently sync with our system. We are currently working with eBay to solve and do expect we will. In the meantime effective today at 1pm we have developed an interim solution.

eBay now requires shipping information for all transactions. Even though eTopps users do not always physically ship cards after an auction, all auctions are automatically assumed to be of an item that can be shipped, either at a cost or free. For the time being, users will see a shipping fee of $0.01 when trying to sell cards on eBay. This shipping fee will appear automatically when selling a card. The result is all auctions will now have an additional 1 cent cost, which will show up on the page listing category, but auctions can go through.

We are also continuing to work on our partnership with Card Target and expect launch shortly. Please continue to check eTopps Updates for further updates. Thank you for your patience.

CardTarget.com has been serving the eTopps community for over 5 years providing statistics, advanced portfolio tracking, auction search, and much more. On September 1st, CardTarget.com will become an official partner of eTopps. This partnership will improve the interface between the eTopps.com website and the CardTarget.com website resulting in immediate card transfers, improved price details, safe and guaranteed transactions for buyers and sellers, and a more managed marketplace for eTopps cards. eTopps will continue to partner with eBay as well, but want to provide our community with options.

Users will notice changes to the eTopps.com and CardTarget.com sites with additional information and links starting on Monday, September 1st.

The CardTarget Marketplace for "in port" eTopps cards is an active order-based marketplace. Users can enter buy and sell orders at their own target prices. When a buy order is matched with a sell order, CardTarget automatically executes the transaction. Once payment is received, the card is moved from the seller's portfolio to the buyer's portfolio directly on eTopps.com. All transactions are 100% guaranteed.

It really is that easy! You don't have to bid and wait to see if you won or put your cards up for auction hoping for a reasonable sales price. You set your own price on all orders. You can "Buy Now" to immediately have the card moved to your eTopps portfolio and "Sell Now" to get cash within minutes.

In an effort to simplify the Performance Bonus process and minimize the number of categories players must achieve to realize bonus, this year there are only two performance categories per player. The actual performance goals were set and determined specifically as follows:

Running Backs (RB) - rushing yards and rushing TD’s.

Wide Receivers (WR)- receiving yards and receiving TD’s.

Quarterbacks (QB) - passing yards and passing TD’s.

Defensive Players - Tackles and sacks.

Offensive Linemen (OL) - Games played and individual sacks allowed.

eTopps will now be offering a new catalog every week. Beginning the week of October 2nd, catalogs will be offered on Wednesday of each week. In an effort to be fair and equitable to both coasts, the catalog launch time will rotate between 2PM EST and 10PM EST.

On Wednesday, October 4th, the catalog will come out at 2PM EST. The following Wednesday, October 11th, the catalog will come out at 10PM EST. The following week the catalog returns to 2PM EST and so on. We are currently working new merchandise to the inventory in an effort to bring our users a substantial catalog each week.

Thanks to some excellent feedback etopps has received over the past few weeks, starting today etoppers can search through Trade Post offers by using Advanced Search criteria.

To access this area, simply click the "Advanced Search" link found on the "View Trade Offers" page of the etopps Trade Post and choose such filters as "Search Text","Year Issued","Card Set","Value Ratio","Offer Created" and "Only show offers I can trade"

Subject:New "Value Ratio" sorting option (etopps Trade Post)

Starting today, we have added a new statistic to the Trade Post display pages, the "Value Ratio".

The "Value Ratio" is a calculation of the ratio of The Highest Offer Value from a specific trade offer divided by the Value of the Card desired. A "Value Ratio" greater than 100% indicates that the etopper offering the trade is willing to give up more in card value than he is receiving, while a ratio of under 100% indicates the opposite.

After hearing feedback from etoppers on this subject, we have decided not to make "Value Ratio" the default display for Trade Post offers. Rather, the display will continue to default to the most recent Trade Post offers on top. Please note, however, that you may still sort the pages by the highest value trades by simply clicking the column title: "Value Ratio". Also, as a reminder of what the exact Value Ratio calculation is, simply place your mouse over the "Value Ratio" column heading to view the definition.

Please note that COIs (Certificates of Issuance) shipped with all 2005 etopps Baseball cards requested for delivery will contain two hand-written numbers: (1) the card's serial number, and (2) the issue size. In addition, please note that each (card-sized) COI will be shipped in the same plastic baggie with the corresponding card.

We hope this helps to clear up any confusion and appreciate all the feedback we've received on this subject.

Please note that for the sake of consistency within the etopps Classics set, all etopps Football Classics cards produced in 2005 will be designed with a silver medallion image (vs. gold). As a reminder, since January 2004, no etopps cards have been produced with actual medallions. Due to technical constraints, the lettering on the card front will also appear in silver (vs. gold).
Subject:Rewards Catalog Announcement

Beginning on February 1, 2005, the etopps Rewards Catalog will switch from its current "tiered" point value system to a fixed calculation of 1 point = $1.25 in card value.

We are making this change in order to spread demand more equally among the catalog offerings. Currently, there is a rush to acquire the high dollar cards (i.e. cards with a large point per card value ratio), while the low dollar cards are redeemed last. We believe that the community as a whole will be more satisfied with the catalog because all of the items will be valued equally from a $1.25-per-point basis, leading to a larger selection of equally valued product offerings. We understand that a few “winners” who only acquire the high dollar cards will be disappointed, but in general, this is a more equitable approach.

Another benefit of this change will be the introduction of 1-point cards. Starting 2/1/05, no longer will cards at the bottom of the etopps value scale require 3 catalog points.

Lastly, it is important to note that the $1.25-per-point value was determined as the point value average for the last 10 catalogs (with a few products fetching much more than $1.25 per point, and the majority of products being redeemed for less).
